This is a 7/8″ round x 1.5″ wood dowel that can be mounted in a tee slot anywhere within the chest of drawers hidden compartment. It has a hook and loop (Velcro) strap attached to the end which can be wrapped around an object to hold it securely within the hidden compartment. Especially useful for wrapping around gun barrels and gun stocks to hold a rifle in place while shipping or moving the dresser.
